Molinel launches the eco-friendly ‘PROGRESS’ collection, certified by GRS®

THE CHOICE FOR EVERY PROFESSIONAL TO REGISTER FOR THE LONG TERM

In early 2024, workwear specialist MOLINELwas certified GRS® (Global Recycled Standard) and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). These two international certifications have reinforced its sustainable development strategy. This proactive approach is part of its DNA and an integral part of the values it promotes, particularly through its CSR programme called ‘Act With MOLINEL’.

The launch of the new PROGRESS line embodies this responsible and forward-thinking commitment. Its four models (men's and women's plain trousers, unisex knee pad trousers and unisex jacket), available in navy blue and charcoal grey, claim the GRS®* label, which guarantees that at least 50% of the synthetic fibres used are recycled. This label ensures the traceability of the garment throughout its value chain, from yarn production to the finished product. The PROGRESS line is made from a sustainable fabric combining 64% GRS® recycled polyester, 34% cotton and 2% stretch elastolefin. Each of its models thus reduces its overall carbon footprint by 28% compared to a similar product that does not offer a responsible approach, i.e. 18.6 kg of CO2 compared to 25.8 kg of CO2.

Beyond its eco-friendly material, the PROGRESS professional clothing line offers other advantages: a bold style combined with maximum comfort thanks to its lightweight (245g), stretchy and durable fabric that can withstand industrial cleaning (ISO 15797). These advantages make it versatile and suitable for a wide range of users, from local authorities to industry, including craft trades, regardless of indoor or outdoor environments.

Since 1st January 2024, the AGEC law has imposed a more detailed framework for public procurement (purchases by the State, local authorities and their purchasing groups). It now specifies product categories, such as textiles, and includes a minimum proportion of 20% of the annual value of their purchases for eco-friendly products incorporating recycled materials. This minimum proportion will be increased to 25% in 2027 and 30% in 2030, demonstrating the commitment to these markets.

GOING EVEN FURTHER IN CSR

MOLINEL does not stop at fabric certification and continues to promote CSR in the design of its collections. Even though there are no regulations requiring it to do so, the brand has chosen recycled accessories that are compatible with industrial maintenance: plastic press studs and ribbons. It anticipates requirements and monitors the market in order to work with suppliers who are pioneers in environmental protection.

COMFORT WITH STYLE

All stretch models have a fitted look for maximum comfort regardless of the movements performed. MOLINEL has also ensured that the PROGRESS line is easily recognisable by a signature affixed to each garment in a simple and effective manner. The collar of the unisex jacket and the trousers feature a recycled ribbon with the name PROGRESS discreetly applied. Other details have been carefully crafted, such as the semi-elasticated cuffs and the reverse zip chest pocket on the jacket. The men's and women's trousers have an elasticated waistband and adjustable leg hems to fit every body shape. With slanted pockets, compartmentalised pockets for a phone and tape measure, and a back pocket, the user will find all the features they need.
