The process of creating recycled clothing by Molinel for its Reborn upcycled collection is meticulous work that requires great expertise and craftsmanship.

It all starts with selecting end-of-line garments that will be recycled. These garments are carefully sorted and inspected to ensure their quality and potential for transformation. Next, Molinel's partner artisans for its Reborn collection take the garments apart and use the recovered fabric pieces to create new designs with touches of gold applied in stripes or with a fingerprint. The end result is a unique garment marked with a number, just like haute couture designs, which tells a story and has been created with love and respect for the environment.

No two pieces are alike, both in terms of colors and touches of gold. Jackets have been redesigned with an imprint on the back or a gold stripe printed on the bottom, bags are plain or two-tone in a variety of colors, some models are largely covered in gold while others feature small screen prints...

A human adventure centered around a collaborative project

The REBORN collection is the result of a collaboration with designer Flavia Redouin Inneco, Studio Tessigraphes Design in Marcq-en-Barœul, in France. With a lifelong passion for fabrics and an interest in issues related to the reuse of materials, she was given free rein to design fashionable outfits that are completely outside the professional world.

Once the style had been approved, the company approached two ESATs (organizations that help people with disabilities find employment): the first in Noisy-le-Sec (93) in the Île-de-France region to manufacture the 300 models, and the second in Rivery, near Amiens (80) in the Hauts-de-France region, for screen printing and pattern printing. These local, socially-minded collaborations were important to MOLINEL, which is committed to promoting local expertise and limiting its carbon footprint. To complete the environmental approach, the clothing and bags will be shipped in recycled and reusable packaging.

REBORN is more than just the launch of a collection! It is also, and above all, a human adventure. Beyond the designer and the ESATs who collaborated on the project, an entire in-house team got involved, both in Frelinghien (59) and Liergues (69). It was a unifying project in which all departments were fully involved, as exemplified by the photo shoot, where several employees stepped into the shoes of models for a day.

An eco-friendly package for eco-responsible delivery

The Hipli reusable package is designed to be reused 100 times with optimized logistics to ensure that it actually is. Upon receipt, you unpack your purchases and fold the package according to the instructions on the back.
